Rocky K. Gross

Rocky K. Gross, 69, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at his residence. He was born February 7, 1951 in Sheboygan, the son of Harvey and Elaine (DeBruin) Gross. Rocky graduated in 1969 from Goodrich High School. After graduation he started his career with Andrew’s Roofing and Siding which became Bend Industries. He was the manager of the Block Plant and later drove truck until his retirement. During his retirement he worked part time for Preferred Pump & Equipment. On October 21, 1972 he married Karen A. Gajeski at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Rocky was a past board member and current member of Lakeshore Bow Hunters and a past member of Fond du Lac Soccer Association. He was a talented woodworker, enjoyed archery, fishing, camping up north with his buddies and family, and watching western movies.



He is survived by his wife, Karen; three children, Ryan (Pamela) Gross of Scottsdale, AZ, Jessica (Ryan) Dehnel of Fond du Lac, and Gregory (special friend, Amanda Jacobchick) Gross of Fond du Lac; two grandsons, Kaden and Joseph; his brother, Quinn (Phyllis) Gross of Fond du Lac; his sister, Hollie (Larry) Hanson of Fond du Lac; mother-in-law, Ardelle Gajeski of Fond du Lac; sister-in-law, Pandi Gross of Sacramento, CA; cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Reed Keith Gross; and father-in-law, Richard Gajeski.



The visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at church. Cremation has taken place. The service will be livestreamed on Holy Family Parish’s Facebook page. Due to Emergency Order #1 under Executive Order #82, masks are required while in attendance.
