ROGER F. SCHULTZRoger F. Schultz, age 69 of Fond du Lac, died Monday, August 29,2005 at his residence surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in Wausau, WI on May 15,1936 the son of Arnold and Edna Baumann Schultz. He was retired U.S. Navy veteran of active and reserve of 23 years. Roger was a journeyman plumber and worked on many different construction projects. He owned and operated the Empire Sawmill. He was a member of Fond du Lac Lodge No.26 F. & A.M. and was a Past Master. Roger was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac for many years where he served as an usher. He was also a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitter's Local No.400 for 38 years. Roger enjoyed traveling, woodworking, gardening, hunting, and fishing.SURVIVORS: he is survived by his mother, Edna Schultz, Wausau, one brother, Charles (Lois) Schultz, Wausau, niece, Lynne Schultz, Milwaukee, Mike (Jenny) Schultz and their children, Cassie and Nathan, ofPlover, Matt (Gretchen) Schultz, Tell City, IN. Roger's stepchildren, Judy (Tim) Simon, Fond du Lac, Tom (Deb) Deere, Fond du Lac, Kent Deere, Fond du Lac, Joe Deere Norman, OK, Pat (Jim) Barnes, Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.
VISITATION: Thursday, September 1,2005 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Masonic Memorial Services at 6 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home, and on Friday from 9 to 10 am at Immanuel -Trinity Lutheran Church. FUNERAL SERVICES: Friday, September 2, 2005 at 10:00 A. M. at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Reverend Douglas V. Hedman will officiate. Prior to graveside services at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, at 3 pm, friends may call at the cemetery mausoleum from 2 pm until the time of services on Friday.
