Roger R. Nellessen

Roger R. NellessenRoger R. Nellessen, 73, of 324 5th St. in Fond du Lac died Wednesday, March 09, 2005 at St. Agnes Hospital. Roger was born February 16, 1932 in Taycheedah, a son of Frank and Ernestine Rott Nellessen. On June 2, 1956 he married Patricia Whitty at St. John's Catholic Church in Byron. Roger was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1954 to 1956. He worked in the grocery business from 1956 until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the American Legion Post in Lomira. He was a very devoted, loving husband and father and will be deeply missed by his family.Survivors include his wife Pat of Fond du Lac, six children; Catherine (LTC Mitchell Passini) of Rolla, MO, Randy (Deb) Nellessen of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Mary) Nellessen of Glen Ellyn, IL, Richard Nellessen of Fond du Lac, Barbara (Martin) Stephanie of Pulaski, Kevin (Sharon) Nellessen of Fond du Lac, 16 grandchildren; Nicole, Matthew, and Brittney Passini, Nolanie and Nick Nellessen, Erica, Scott, and Julia Nellessen, Josh, Sarah, Megan, and Hannah Stephanie, Derek, Kyle, Macy and Cody Nellessen, and three sisters; Dolores (Jim) Scharf of Fond du Lac, Stella (Bill) Bauer of Leroy, and Thelma (Roger) Stoffel of Lomira. His parents and one brother, Vince, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Nellessen will be on Friday, March 11, 2005 from 4-8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Saturday, March 12, 2005 from 11:30 A.M. until the time of services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 12:30 P.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. John Radetski officiating. Entombment will follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum. Memorials in Roger's name may be directed to the Veterans Memorial in Byron or the American Cancer Society. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
