Roland L. Demotts

Roland L "Rollie" DeMotts, 76, of 293 17th Street, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born January 17, 1934, in Waupun, the son of Thomas and Henrietta Veleke DeMotts. He was a graduate of Waupun High School. On May 24, 1985, he married Mary J. Romalia Cook in Fond du Lac. From 1952 to 1969, he lived in various Wisconsin cities, moving to Fond du Lac in 1969. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard serving as a Civil Servant from 1952 to 1986 when he retired. He was a member of the Red Arrow Club since 1991, the 127th Infantry Association, the 32nd Infantry Association, and the Marinette Veterans Association. He loved the Packers and watching baseball. Surviving is his wife, Mary, three sons, Brian (Norma) DeMotts of Cleveland, TN, Bruce (Janna) DeMotts of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Scott DeMotts, also of Cleveland, TN, two step-sons, Jeffrey (Jill) Cook of Menomonee Falls, WI, and SFC Scott (Dawnde) Cook of Radcliff, KY, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, Vernon (Judy) DeMotts of Appleton. His parents, a brother, Harrison DeMotts, and a sister, Dorothy DeMotts preceded him in death.



Visitation for Roland L. "Rollie" DeMotts will be on Monday, August 30, 2010, from 5 to 8 PM, and on Tuesday, August 31st from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM at the funeral home on Tuesday. The Rev. Douglas Hedman will officiate. Burial services will follow at the Veterans Memorial Park in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope.
