Rolland E. Ablard

Rolland E. Ablard, 95, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, November 24, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born in Campbellsport on July 13, 1922 to William and Malinda (Miller) Ablard. On October 7, 1950, Rolland married Audrey Furman in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on September 3, 1996.



Rolland loved helping his sons, Bill and Bob, with their sports car racing. He especially enjoyed his ’69 Mach 1 Mustang. Rolland was always very active, still driving the senior bus for the county well into his eighties.



Survivors include his 5 children, Mary Jo (Buddy) Vescio, Robert (Jeanette), William, Betty (Ron) Pingel and Barbara (Terry) Bigsby; 2 grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Dufek and Ryan (Lauren) Duffek; 1 niece; 2 nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Audrey; and a sister, Lucille (Bill) Blazer.



Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Entombment in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery will follow the service.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
