ROLLAND J. DOMENGETRolland J. Domenget, age 79, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, July 21, 2005. He was born on October 2, 1925 in Fond du Lac the son of James and Gladys (Nelson) Domenget. He was a 1943 graduate of Fond du Lac High School. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a plank owner of the USS Jason, "The Mighty J".On September 19, 1948 he married Rosemary Gnerlich. Rollie was employed at Giddings and Lewis and Amity Leather until his retirement in 1987. Both he and Rosie loved the great outdoors and they especially enjoyed trips to their land in Waushara County. Rollie was an avid sports fan, a passion that was also passed on to his son, Dave. He also was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed building things for his family and friends.He is survived by his son, Dave and his wife Jeannie, his sister, Jeanette Domenget, his brothers, Milton (Betty) Domenget, Richard (Judy) Domenget, and Dennis (Virginia) Domenget, and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his special friends, Don and Norma Lynch and Dan and Patty Lynch. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosemary, his sisters, Delores Strizek and Jean Rock and his brother Wayne Domenget.
VISITATION: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 from 11A.M. until 1P.M. at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. FUNERAL: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Shari Routh officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside services. Rollie was a simple man who lived a simple life, but he lived life as it was meant to be lived!The family would like to extend a special thank you to his caring neighbors Dave and Cathy Thoune and Officer Nalley of the Fond du Lac Police Department. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
