Ron "Mooner" Moon

Ron "Mooner" A. Moon, 59, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital with his family at his side. He was born February 11, 1955 in Fond du Lac, the son of Bennie and Millie (Shady) Moon. He was a 1974 graduate of Goodrich High School. On April 2, 2005, Ron married Ann Deising in Fond du Lac. Ron was passionate about life. He loved his grandchildren, Lyla and Desmond; they were the light of his life and he was their Papa. In addition to being involved with his family, he was an avid fan of all sports teams Wisconsin; always willing to place a little wager. Ron loved his Harley, enjoyed golfing, hunting and playing cards. He was a member of various clubs and leagues, including the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 270, bowling, baseball, golf and pool. Ron worked for Mercury Marine for 38 years and was a member of the local union chapter. He was also known to be the unofficial mayor of Taycheedah.Ron is survived by his wife, Ann, four siblings; Butch (Kathy) Moon, Judy Schneider, Tommy (Lori) Moon and Linda "Tootie" (special friend Mike) Moon, and Ann's daughter, Anna (Broch) Thomas and their children, Lyla and Desmond. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerry Moon, and his special brother-in-law, Tom Schneider.



A visitation for Ron will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave., in Fond du Lac. A Celebration of Ron's life will follow the visitation at 3:00 P.M.. Cremation has taken place.In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in his name.
