Ronald A. "Ron" Lietz, Sr.

Ronald A. “Ron” Lietz, Sr., 83, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at his home in Fond du Lac. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 8, 1937 to Stephen and Hattie (Ziebell) Lietz. Ron served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. On July 2, 1960 he married Patricia A. “Pat” Snyder at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac.



Ron was funny; if he was in the room everyone was laughing. He loved woodworking, hunting, fishing, and was an exceptional archer. Ron worked thirty years at Mercury Marine as a furnace maintenance technician.



Survivors include his wife, Pat; son, Ron Lietz, Jr., and daughter Lori Lietz; one granddaughter, Rachel Lietz; a brother, Don (Sharon) Lietz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert “Bob” (Marlene) Lietz; and two sisters, Dolores (John) Hanson and Betty (Marvin) Abraham.



At the request of Ron there will not be a visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
