Ronald E. Roberts

Ronald Eugene Roberts passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born on October 24, 1947, in Fond du Lac, the son of Eugene and Margaret (Freund) Roberts. He graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1965. He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 – 1971. On April 26, 1969, he married Joan Schabel. Ron worked at Mercury Marine for 44 years until his retirement in 2009, and then worked at Festival Foods for 10 years. He loved to hunt and fish with his son, daughter, and grandkids.

He is survived by his two children, Angela Roberts of Fond du Lac and David (Patti) Roberts of Juneau, WI; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna) Piotrizkowski, Frankie and Cheyenne Hoover, Alyshia (Dave) Reynolds, Zackery, Devin, and Wyatt Thompson, Allyson and Noah Roberts; eight great grandchildren, Emma and Eli Piotrzkowski, Hazel, Abel, and Ophelia Hoover, Sawyer, Aspen, and Elowen Reynolds; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents; three sisters, Gloria, Patricia, and Sandy; and grandson, Trace Hoover.

The visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with inurnment to follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
