Ronald Wesley Fincke, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, January 10, 2025 at Crossroads Nursing Home. He was there for 60 days. He was born on June 16, 1937 to Wesley Fincke and Esther Ziebell. On June 24, 1967 Ron married Arlene Winke at Our Saviour Church.
Ron worked at Fred Rueping Leather Company and at Holiday Automotive. He enjoyed traveling all over the world and the U.S. with his wife. When Ron was in assisted living he fell and broke a bone in the middle of his back and also injured his left leg, so he could no longer walk. He was at Crossroads for 60 days in pain the whole time. Now he is with the Lord pain free. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Arlene; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Rosie Winke; his Friday eating friends and good neighbors, Shawn and Lori Roeseler; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Harriet and Orrin Kletzine; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Ginny Fincke; and nephew, Terry Kletzine.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Crossroads and SSM Hospice for all their care and kindness to Ron with all his pain.
A private funeral was held January 11, 2025 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Boehringer from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church officiating. Cremation followed the services.
