Ronald L. Beyer, 78, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac. He was born August 1, 1930 in Fond du Lac, the son of Dewey and Myrtle Strebe Beyer. On June 4, 1955 he married Joan P. Williams at Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. Ronald was a veteran of the US Marine Corp serving his country from 1951 "“ 1953 during the Korean War. He worked for Allstate Insurance for 30 years retiring in 1985. He was a member of Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. Ronald was a member of Neshkoro American Legion Post 0423, Neshkoro Lions Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10892, and The Four Freshmen Society and Lake Havasu Elks Club, Lake Havasu City, AZ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling, playing cards, watching the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers, traveling and spending the winters in Arizona and loved spending time with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS: his wife, Joan; two children, Linda (special friend, Jeff Shell) Beyer, Fond du Lac, Bob Beyer, Stone Mountain, GA; five grandchildren, Christy Beyer, Robert Beyer, both of Georgia, Tim McEssey, Fond du Lac, Tom McEssey, Madison, Specialist Steve McEssey, Iraq; three sisters, Gloria Abraham, Pomona, CA, Audrey (Gordon) Burton, Beaver Dam, Karen Janzen, Fond du Lac; one brother, Errol Beyer, CA; his very special dog, Annie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Mabel Williams; one daughter, Lori Beyer; one grandson, Jason McEssey; one infant brother; two brother-in-laws, Marvin Abraham and Michael Janzen.



VISITATION: will be from 9 "“ 11 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. James F. D. Martin officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Memorials are appreciated to St. Agnes Hospice or Church of Peace.The family extends a special thank you to the nurses on the 6th Floor of St. Agnes Hospital and the staff of St. Francis Home for the wonderful care given to Ronald.
