Ronald L. "Bomber" West

Ronald L. "Bomber" West, 60 of W3760 Cody Road, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born September 21, 1946 in Madison. On July 23, 1994 he married Patrice D. Brown at Covenant United Methodist Church, Fond du Lac. Ronald was a graduate of Goodrich High School Class of 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1966 to1968, stationed in Germany. He was employed at one time with the United Parcel Service and since 1985 he has been employed with United States Post Office, Fond du Lac. He was inducted into the Fond du Lac Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003, played for Schlitz Softball Team. Ronald was an avid sports fan, coached all his sons in hockey, enjoyed helping his family, he loved his grandchildren, and recreating old muscle cars.He is survived by his wife, Patrice West, Fond du Lac, four children, Randall (Brenda) West, Fond du Lac, Melissa (Kurt) Linjer, Fond du Lac, Ryan West, Fitchburg, WI and Rockne (fiancé Betsy Weis) West, Fond du Lac, a step-son, David (Michele) Toney, Payton, CO, step-daughter, Anna Toney, Encinitas, CA, four grandchildren, Madison Robien, Zachary West, Aspen Linjer, and Gavin Linjer, mother Doris Schmidt, three brothers, Brooks Schmidt, Randy Schmidt, and Terry Schmidt, all of Hollister, California, a sister, Jean (Ron) Smet, Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by Raymond and Lillian West, and Joseph Schmidt.



Friends may call on Sunday, May 13, 2007 from 3 to 8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. funeral home. Cremation will follow the traditional services. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
