Ronald L. Henke, 88, passed away after a battle with leukemia on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was born April 6, 1930 in Juneau, WI, the son of Henry and Ora Koehler Henke. Ron taught Science at Woodworth and Theisen Jr. High Schools for 30 years. Prior to entering the teaching field, Ron was a master barber, beginning that career during the Korean Conflict as a barber aboard the U.S.S. Henney DD762. His ship and crew endured a world cruise during the Korean War. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara. They were married for 62 years prior to her death in 2017.
He is survived by his nieces, Carla (Alan) Miron and Gina (Steven) Langsford; his nephew, Stephen Romitti; six great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Blossom (Carlo) Romitti.
Private family services will be held at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum and entombment will follow.
