Rose M. Buckarma, 84, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her residence in North Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on January 21, 1934 to Joseph and Catherine (Weisbeck) Kreisman. Rose attended St. Mary’s Grade School, Roosevelt Junior High School and Fond du Lac Senior High. On June 7, 1952 she married Paul Goldapske. After their divorce, Rose married Caral Buckarma on October 28, 1967. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2000.
For six years, Rose worked as a waitress at the Colony Restaurant. She owned “The Seasons the Reason” ceramic shop and was president of the Fond du Lac Miniature Club. Rose was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and was a contributor to the Salvation Army of Fond du Lac and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Rose was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Gneiser; nephew, Patrick Wynen, and niece, Andrea (Wynen) Callaghan, both having been raised by Rose. In addition, she raised her friend’s children, Sherif Mityas, Sherene (Mityas) Jagla, Kim (Wagner) Schommer and Kevin Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul, who passed on January 30, 2018; her husband, Caral; six brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Ave. in Fond du Lac. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM. Entombment in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery will follow the services.
In lieu of flowers, Rose wished for memorials to be made to the Salvation Army of Fond du Lac and/or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
