Rose M. Michels

Rose M. Michels, 92, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, Fla. with her daughter, Ann Michels at her side. She was born on January 1, 1930, to Alfred and Mary (Schwind) Baus. On August 16, 1951, Rose married Donald R. Michels in Marytown, Wis. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1999. On January 25, 2007, Rose married Jerome Watry.



Rose was very artistic and excelled at anything she pursued. Her favorite thing was to watch her family having fun.



Survivors include her five children, Carol Michels, Jeff (Linda) Michels, Ann Michels, Jane (Lee) Bongirno, and HJ (Patricia) Michels; eight grandchildren, Anthony (Janessa Devereux) Wilhelms, Tania, Aaron (Michelle Hefter), Sarah, Rose, Loren (Meghan) Bongirno, Christopher (Samantha Smith) Michels, and Jessica (Mitch) Aase; eight great-grandchildren, Korynne (Zach Moran) Burns, Brittany, David, Brandon, Tiffany, Stephanie, Ayla, and Holland Michels, Lily and Matt Bongirno, and Autumn Aase; one great-great-grandson, Jack Burns; sister, Mary (Warren) Schluter; brother-in-law, Gerald Steffen; and a sister in law, Lucina Michels. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband; a grandson, Mark Michels; three brothers, Jim, Ken and Dan; three sisters, Ceil, Toots, and Betty; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.



The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Friday, March 18, 2022 at the North Fond du Lac Senior Center, 280 Garfield St., in North Fond du Lac, Wis. Following the reception a dinner will be held at the senior center, beginning at 6:00 PM. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will be in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac.



In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to a hospice organization of your choice.
