Rose T. Deitte

November 3, 1928 — October 5, 2012

Our loving Mother, Rose T. Deitte, 83, of Fond du Lac, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 5, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born November 3, 1928, in Ashford, the daughter of Clarence and Mary Zehren. Mom was a resident of Fond du Lac, graduated from Fond du Lac High School, where she met her sweetheart, our Dad. On Oct. 1, 1949, she married Kenneth G. Deitte, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Our fondest memories with Mom include family gatherings, her love of nature and the simple pleasures in life "“ feeding the birds, tending to her flower gardens and cooking and baking. We created treasured memories each Christmas, enjoying her beautiful decorations and singing carols on the staircase. She enjoyed going for rides in the country with our Dad. Mom had a deep faith and love for our Lord that she shared with our family. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish. Mom worked at Younkers for 36 years. Our family includes: Susan (Mike) Leonard of Rosendale; Linda (Mike) Sklena of Des Plaines, IL; Rita (Mike) Shannon; Karen (Scott) Courtney; Tom (Cathy) Deitte, all of Fond du Lac; Richard (Katy) Deitte of St. Charles, MO; Annie (Timothy) Koll of Menasha; and Gary (DeAnna) Deitte of Fond du Lac. She adored her 31 grandchildren: Kristin (Dean) Seigworth, Matthew (Arica) Leonard, Andrew (Peggy) Leonard, Nicholas (Melanie) Leonard, Daniel (Hilary) Leonard; Michelle (Jason) Sasse, Jason Sklena, John (Missy) Sklena; Nicole (Matthew) Murray, Stephanie (Dean) Jaber, Katie (Tony) Mathos, Michael (Lisa) Shannon, Jr.; Sean, Bryan and Sarah Courtney, Erin Courtney (finance, Matthew Boelhower); Maria (Brian) Hackbarth, Steven, Colleen and Christine Deitte; William, Carrie and Samuel Deitte; Klayton (Katie) Koll, Alexandra Koll, Lauren (Jason) Lyne, Timothy Koll, Jr.; Hannah (Ralph) Holzmann, Jacob, Joshua and Jonah Deitte. She also cherished her great-grandchildren: Cole, Andrew, Grace, Landen, Lola, Keegan, Cody, Matthew, Isaac, Elijah, Aubrey, Owen, Abigail, Eliana, Kaelyn, Tyler, Shannon, Timothy, William, Ali, Ella, Reagan, Sophia, Benjamin, Michael III, Natalie, Eleanor, Jack, Remington and Liam. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy (Harold) Miller; sister-in-law, Donna Zehren; brothers-in-law, Elmer (Esther) Deitte; Rollie (Sharon) Deitte; and nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth; dear son, Mark; sisters, Audrey Kremer, Mary and Carol Zehren; and her brother, David Zehren.
