Rosemarie L. Thompson, age 69, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1953, in the Town of Lake in Milwaukee County, the daughter of Arnold and Lydia (Mittag) Slawny. Rose worked for 25 years at Fleet Farm until retiring from there in 2019. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting, watching movies on Hallmark Channel and Lifetime, playing computer games, and crossword scratch-offs. Most of all Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her four children, Theresa (Travis) Bortner, Tabatha Thompson, Timothy Thompson, Rachael (Glenn) Sweet; her grandchildren, Nicole, Trinity, Tobey, Lydia, Taylor, Tyler, and Thomas; her siblings, Jean, David (Denise), Annette, Arnold Jr, and Fran (John); sister-in-law, Deedee; and her cats, Zeke and Sauron; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Johnny and Brian; sister, Carol; brother-in-law, Jerry.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1010 Adams Ave, North Fond du Lac, WI, 54937. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the church at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Good Hope Cemetery, 4141 S. 43rd St, Greenfield, WI, 53220.
