Rosendo A. "Duke" Hernandez

Rosendo A. "Duke" Hernandez, 71 of Eldorado, died Friday, May 12,2006 at his residence. He was born on March 1,1935 in Del Rio, Texas the son of Francisco and Julia Loomas Hernandez. On November 26,1958 he married Edith "Edie" Smith at the Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. Rosendo was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1954-57. Rosendo was a machinist at Giddings & Lewis for 33 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of Church of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran. He enjoyed biking, animals, snowshoeing, wood carving, loved music, enjoyed playing the guitar and had once played in a band with his brother. Rosendo was always on time.Survivors include his wife Edith "Edie" Hernandez, Eldorado, three children, Julie (Steve) Lawson, and their children, Noah and Jonah, of Fond du Lac, Anthony (Carol) Hernandez and their children, Anthony "T.J.", Jr. and Daniel of Ripon, and Frederick (Linda) Hernandez and their son Chad, of Oshkosh, one great-granddaughter, Ava Culver, six brothers and sisters, Henrietta of IL, Alonzo (Betty) Hernandez, Eden, Armondo (Barb) Hernandez, of Minnesota, Alfredo Hernandez, Arpin ,WI, Sheila Robertson of Kansas, Paul Hernandez, Fond du Lac, Further survived by nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a brother and infant brother.



Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 16,2006 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16,2006 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Reverend Duane C. Wisner will officiate. Burial will be on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside services.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
