Royal "Roy" J. BalthazorRoyal "Roy" J. Balthazor, age 97, formerly of N7845 Lakeshore Dr, and a resident of the St. Francis Home for the past nine months, died Saturday, September 17, 2005 at St. Francis Home. He was born on April 13, 1908 in the Town of Friendship the son of William H. and Ida Letterneau Balthazor. He married Margaret M. Fischer in December of 1939 in Fond du Lac. Royal worked as a crane operator at Giddings & Lewis for thirty five years. He was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish-St. Louis Church, and it's men's club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #664, the G & L Oldsters, International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers No. 1947. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, gardening, and working on his lawn. SURVIVORS: his wife Margaret of Fond du Lac, two daughters, Judith (Norman) Mortensen of Fond du Lac, Barbara (Richard) Mortensen of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Steve (Special Friend Deb) Mortensen, Theresa Augustin, Jeff (Special Friend Sue) Mortensen, Cheryl (Ray) Dluhy, Michael (Stacy) Mortensen, five great-grandchildren, Adam Mortensen, Megan Augustin, Emma Mortensen, Luke Mortensen, Simone Dluhy, one sister, Marie Lamb of North Fond du Lac, special niece, Beverly Batura of Fond du Lac, one sister in law, Rosemary Balthazor of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Frank, John, Clarence, Francis, Walter, and Gerald, five sisters, Hazel, Mabel, Grace, Florence, and Margaret.
At Royal's request there will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place with inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to St. Vincent de Paul.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
