Russell B. Freitag

Russell B. Freitag, age 83, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at ManorCare Health Services. He was born on February 26, 1926 in Johnson Creek, WI, the son of Alfred and Elizabeth (Heine) Freitag. Russell was in the United States Navy, serving in World War II. On February 25, 1952 he married Geraldine Detert. He worked as an auto mechanic in the Fond du Lac area, retiring from Henkel Motors in 1985. He was a member of American Legion Drier-Bushee-Vanderboom Post #156 in North Fond du Lac for forty-two years.SURVIVORS: his wife, Geraldine of Fond du Lac, daughter, Sandra (John) Secord of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, J.D. (Sharon) Secord of Fond du Lac, Kim (Mark) Feavel of Van Dyne, Jeff (Ann) Secord of Johnsburg, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Julia Shaffer of Fort Collins, CO, Evora Krebs of Crystal Beach, FL, Marion (William) Hoppe of Scottsdale, AZ, brother, Franklin (Karen) Freitag of Oconomowoc, WI, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one brother.



VISITATION: Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. FUNERAL: Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum.
