Russell F. Barton

After a full days work, Russell F. Barton, age 69 of N2850 Oaklane Road, Brownsville, was called to his final rest on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Froedert Hospital, Wauwatosa. He was born on April 25, 1938 in Adams County the son of Frank and Cecelia Petersen Barton. On May 27,1977 he married Janet R. Thayer-Bowman at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. Russell was an independent carpenter and contractor building homes, apartments buildings and condominiums in southeastern Wisconsin for 50 years. Through Barton Construction, Russ employed and taught his trade to many, including sons, daughters, grandsons and nephews, never turning away those who needed work. He was confirmed at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. He served in the National Guards. Russell enjoyed collecting antique John Deere tractors, owned his own saw mill, and was an avid hunter.Survivors include his wife Janet Barton, Brownsville, two sons, Gregory (Debra) Barton, Fond du Lac, and DuWayne Barton, Rogersville, two daughters, Linda (Robert) Scheuers, Plymouth, and Deeann (Bruce) Burroughs, Rosendale, two step-daughters, Kathy (James) Grabowski, Peshtigo, and Sue (Edward) Thorsby, Fond du Lac, ten grandsons, and 4 granddaughters, four brothers, Wayne Barton, Waukesha, Clair (Carolyn) Barton, Fond du Lac, Larry (Marsha) Barton, Fond du Lac, Lewellyn Barton, Oconomowoc, five sisters, Frances Hamilton, Fond du Lac, Karen (Paul) Goldapske, Van Dyne, Lanette (Leonard) Bruflat, Fond du Lac, Loretta Snyder, Yelm, WA, Susanne (Don) Aldrich, Pittsboro, IN. Further survived by his "Five Fox Red Lab's". Russell was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marjorie Perry, and a grandson Chad Thorsby; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Perry and Donald Hamilton; a nephew, Gary Hamilton.



VISITATION: Friends may call at the Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. at Church of Our Saviour Evangelical Lutheran. Reverend Robert Rosenberg will officiate.
