Ruth Bender Moore

Ruth Bender Moore, 78 of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. She was born on February 7, 1933 in the Town of Empire the daughter of the late Alex and Anna Ramig Bender Sr. Ruth was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School. She was employed at Wells Manufacturing until her retirement. In her retirement years she worked at Culver's West and Haentze Floral. She also delivered Meals On Wheels for a time. She was a passionate Green Bay Packer fan and she also loved the Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Politics were also one of her passion, always ready for a good debate. She never missed a production of the Fond du Lac Community Theater and always had a front row seat. Ruth was a faithful member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Ruth was a very fun loving person and will be missed by many special caring friends and relatives.SURVIVORS: She is survived by her three children; Nancy (James) Moore of Madison, David (Rini) Moore of West VA, and Shannon (Wayne) Kemnitz, Eldorado; two sisters, Ella Gosse of Milwaukee and Dorothy (Frank) Peterson of Waupun; two brothers, Robert Bender of Fond du Lac and Samuel (Sharon) Bender of Taycheedah, one sister in law, Lorraine Bender of Taycheedah; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred, Herman, Gottlieb (Ruth), Alex Jr. (Esther) and Benjamin Bender; two sisters, Marie Stahla and Betty Bender; and one brother in law, Roland Gosse.



SERVICES: As per Ruth's request no formal funeral services are planned. Cremation has taken place .Burial of her cremains will be will be held Friday, November 25, 2011 at 1:00 PM atLedgeview Memorial Park with Reverend Shari Routh officiating.Memorials may be directed to Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church-Building Fund or to Hospice Home of Hope."Ruth's family extends their thanks to Dr. John Steiner and to the staff of Hospice Home of Hope for their loving care."Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
