Ruth G. Mcdermott

Ruth G. McDermott, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 03, 2006 at ManorCare Health Services where she enjoyed the last five years of her life. She was born on May 29, 1911 in Hermansville, MI the daughter of Joseph and Alida Paquin Raiche. Ruth worked at Infant Socks where she met Royal N. McDermott. They were married on October 26, 1935 in Fond du Lac. She was member of Holy Family Parish and attended St. Louis Church. She enjoyed camping, card club, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with her family. She volunteered at Salvatorian Mission in New Holstein and also worked for the Fond du Lac School Lunch Program for many years. While at ManorCare, Ruth enjoyed many activities and greeted visitors.SURVIVORS: three children, Royal (Joanne) McDermott of Fond du Lac, Thomas (Joyce) McDermott of Fox Lake, and Kevin (Cindy) McDermott of Fond du Lac, eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Royal N. McDermott in 1981, a daughter in law, Kathleen Willis McDermott, one grandson, John McDermott, and one great granddaughter, Jennifer McDermott.



VISITATION: Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Wednesday, October 4, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Ricardo Munoz officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Calvary Cemetery. Special thanks to all the staff at ManorCare and special nurse Charity.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
