Ruth H. Flasch

Ruth Helen (Courtney) Flasch, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Harbor Haven Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. She was born January 2, 1921 in Fond du Lac to William and Elsie Lang Courtney.



On June 28, 1941 she married Lee Edward Flasch. They raised three sons together and built a house in North Fond du Lac in 1957. Ruth and Lee enjoyed 51 years of marriage until his passing in 1992. Ruth was a homemaker for her family who enjoyed keeping her house neat as a pin. She loved to cook and bake, we all have wonderful memories of being in her kitchen and around her table. For a time she was a “lunch lady” at Friendship Learning Center, a few of her grandkids were lucky enough to see her for lunch every day during school and got “extra helpings”. If you were at her house or school you never left hungry.

She enjoyed spending time with family and loved attending school and sporting events for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching basketball and baseball. Ruth also enjoyed taking the scenic route home after any outing.



Ruth is survived by two sons, Thomas and James; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a great great grandchild expected in July; and her sister, Dorothy Fink. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee; son, Jeffrey; daughters-in-law, Judy and D’Ann; and two brothers, William and Harold.



At Ruth’s request private family burial will take place.



The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Sergi for his years of compassionate care, the staff at Harbor Haven for all they did for her since moving there in October, and the staff of SSM Agnesian Hospice for taking such good care of her and the family in her final days.
