Ruth E. Willett, 80, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at SSM – St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1944, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Wynn and Shirely (McGarth) Bergman. On July 18, 1967, she married Thomas Willett, at Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. She was a member of Pilgrim UCC of Fond du Lac. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed making homemade cards, golfing, fishing, and was an avid poker player with her neighbors, Dick and Deb Harmer and Bob and Karn Uhl. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her Husband, Thomas; two daughters, Faith (Tim) Schneider and Tanya (Bill) Haase; four grandchildren, Shari Schneider, Ashley Diener, Owen (Cambrie Fischer) Haase, and Camren Haase; two great-grandchildren, Phoenix and Shelby Diener; eight siblings, Mary (Tom) Lewis, Gail Bittorf, Thomas (Carol) Bergman, Harvey (Linda) Bergman, Bruce (Jackie) Bergman, Lori Renderman, Paul (Beth) Bergman, Steve (Mary) Bergman, and Nell Dymond; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wynn and Shirley; four siblings, David Bergman, Danny Bergman, Alice Schuman, and Maragret Bergman; two brothers-in-law, Eddy Bittorf and Abe Dymond; and sister-in-law, Barb Bergman.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Fond du Lac, with a luncheon to follow. Cremation has taken place.
