Dick's children, Steve (Doris) Hetzel, Brian Hetzel, Colette (Kurt) Wolter, and Curt Hetzel. Proud and loving Grandma to Joe, Dave, Kaity, Chad, Matt, Jake, Stephanie, Zachary, Brittany, Sam, Kyle, Rachel, Morgan, Dillon, Jordan, Sarah, Nichole, Amber, Bryce, Stephanie, Steve, David, Derek, Krista, Alyssa and Colton. Great Grandma to Zander, Myra, Harper, Oliver, Maddie, Stella, Henry and Evy. She is also survived by her brother, Albert Van Schaik, Jr. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Blanche Van Schaik, father, Albert Van Schaik and granddaughter, Brittany.
Sandra had a passion for caring for her grandchildren and countless day care children for decades, some with whom she still remained close. After retiring from day care, she and Dick moved to Nekoosa and enjoyed many peaceful and wonderful years together ‘up nort.' They recently moved south to Fond du Lac to be closer to their family, where they remained until her death.
Sandra enjoyed ceramics, gardening and especially scrapbooking to capture her favorite memories of those she loved so much. She and Dick loved taking cruises together. Her favorite was their 20 day cruise to Alaska.
She was loved deeply by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She cherished and loved all of us even more.
