Sandy K. Fisher, 67, of Fond du Lac, died of cancer at home surrounded by family, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Sandy was born on January 6, 1957, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Loyle and Lois (Buchholz) Henslin, twin to Randy and sister to Bonnie. In 1975, she graduated from Goodrich High School. On April 8, 1978, she married Thomas Fisher at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in the town of Woodhull.
She worked at Giddings & Lewis Motion Control for 20 years and Moraine Park Technical College for 19 years. She loved her dog, Sadie. She loved watching Hallmark movies, gambling, shopping, camping, eating out, decorating for the holidays, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Fisher of Westfield; her son, Shaun (Danny) Fisher of Santa Clara, California; her daughter, Alisha (Eric) Abitz of Oakfield; her grandchildren, Carson, Mason, Parker, and Ryder; her mother-in-law, Rose Fisher of Fond du Lac; her brother-in-law, Mike (Cheri) Fisher of Oakfield; her sisters-in-law, Luann Urban of Fond du Lac, Julie (Mike) Krueger of Rosendale, Sue (Tim) Hassett of Hunt, Texas, and Jaclynn Henslin of Fond du Lac; and her nieces and nephews. Preceded in death were her parents, Loyle and Lois Henslin; her sister, Bonnie Bledsoe; her twin brother, Randy Henslin; her niece, Stacie Alvarado; and her father-in-law, Clayton Fisher.
The family extends a special thank you to SSM at Home Hospice staff for their care and compassion to Sandy and her family over the past month.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be added to Sandy’s grandchildren’s college funds in her memory.
The visitation will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Estabrooks Cemetery.
