Sarah Samuel, age 91, formerly of 539 Maine Ave, North Fond du Lac, went to be with the Lord and Savior as the skies opened to her on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. Sarah was born on January 20, 1920 in Anamoose, ND, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Peter Miller. On September 16. 1937 she married William Samuel in Anamoose, ND. They farmed there until the Soo Line Railroad transferred them to Fond du Lac. She was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac since 1944.Sarah was a woman who loved her garden, canning produce, having flowers to give to others to enjoy, camping with her family and making great friends at Evergreen Campsite in Wild Rose, WI. She loved being outdoors and watching children play, having conversations with her friends, but most of all she loved to be "puttering" in her garden.SURVIVORS: her daughter, Gloria (Richard) Thelke of North Fond du Lac, granddaughter, Kathryn Hilbert-Thelke, great grandson, R.J. William Thelke, great granddaughter, Samantha Hilbert, special grandson, John (Chris) Orvis and their children, Rochelle and Emily, one sister in law, Lillian Miller of ND, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband William, daughter, Karen Anne Riehl, granddaughter Rochelle Thelke, five brothers, four sisters, and her cat "Blackie".
VISITATION: Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Thomas Behnke officiating.
