Selden "Mark" Willey, 70, of Van Dyne, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at his residence. Mark was born in Chicago, IL on August 5, 1935 the son of Selden and Theo Willey. He married JoAnn Schumacher on December 16, 1961 at St. Phillips Church in Chicago, IL.Mark was an active member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church serving as an usher and greeter. Mark had been currently employed with Badger State Auto Auction as a "co-pilot" and security. He began his transportation engineer career at the age of 18 with Motor Express of Chicago and retired from Badger Federal of Oshkosh at the end of 2000. He highlighted his career with one million safe miles in 2000 before retirement. He was a past member of the Van Dyne Sportsmen Club and the Van Dyne Volunteer Fire Department. Mark especially enjoyed his favorite past time fishing with family. SURVIVORS: his wife, JoAnn, Van Dyne; a son, Michael; and a daughter, Sharon Ann (Scott) Schwartz, all of North Fond du Lac. He is also survived by his grandson Steven Willey and Stella his "favorite granddaughter". Mark is further survived by a brother-in-law, Donald (Gloria) Schumacher, Van Dyne; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Schumacher, Orma (William) Levenhagen, Verna (Eugene) Miller, Sharon (Lee) Werner, all of Oshkosh, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Evelyn Dancy and Doralee Jean Sandburn; brothers-in-law, Gaylord and Lyle Schumacher.
VISITATION: Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation and support on Friday, July 14, 2006 from 4 "“ 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Saturday, July 15, 2006 from 9AM until the time of service at church. FUNERAL: The funeral service for Selden "Mark" Willey will be held at 10AM on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac with Rev. Thomas Behnke officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery on Old Oregon Road, Town of Black Wolf. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, North Fond du Lac.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
