Sharleen Lynn Sprotte (Hjelden), 71, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on April 13, 1947, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Carl and Wyone (Kappell) Hjelden. She was formerly married to Ken Sprotte. They later divorced but remained friends until his death in 2016. She was a huge Packer fan and had a keen sense of humor. Sharleen loved her family more than anything and had a way of making everyone she met feel like family.
Sharleen is survived by her daughters, Kim Sprotte, Kris (Shaun) Sprotte, Karla (Marlon) Franzen, and Kathy (Brian) Kelley all of Fond du Lac; eleven grandchildren, Nicole (Ray) Busbey, Alyssa Sprotte, Aaron (Carissa) Vandeslunt, Nathan (Kyla) Price, Melissa, Dylan (Isis), Kaylon, and Amber Franzen, and Jonathan (Marie), Brianna, and Devon (Michael) Kelley; eight great-grandchildren, Rylee, Camden, Payton, Oliver, Nolan, Noah, Kenny, and Liam. She is further survived by her sister, Karen (Art) Scott and her brother, Dean (Rhonda) Hjelden both of Fond du Lac; a niece, Jodi Scott; nephew, Steve (Angie) Scott; great-nephew, Mason Moon; great-nieces, Natalie Engel and Savannah Scott; and a close friend of the family Janis Bennot. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother; and one daughter, Kelly Pressnell.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 3-7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow the service at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
