Sharon A. Solamita, 77, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, peacefully at her residence. She was born on August 14, 1943, in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of Ernest Sr. and Irene (Petasek) Oelke. Sharon was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Eagles Club. She grew up on a farm in Empire and Oakfield area before moving to Fond du Lac. Sharon loved spending her time with her family and taking care of children as well as anyone else in need. She liked sewing, baking, and canning. She was best known as the dilly bean queen.
She is survived by four children, Antonia Laudolff, Gina Solamita, Lisa (Jaime) Rameker, and Shane Solamita; granddaughter, Giavanna Laudolff; five siblings, Ernie (Rose) Oelke Jr. of Miami, OK, Marvin (Marie) Oelke of Fond du Lac, Helen Oelke of The Villages, FL, Susan Snider of Fond du Lac, and Irene (John) Ziegler of Fond du Lac; brother-in-law, Edward Basler; two sisters-in-law, Sharon and Linda Oelke; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lee and Stephen Oelke; sister, Julie Basler; brother-in-law, John Snider; and sister-in-law, Alice Schuman.
The visitation will be held on August 23, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
