Sharon Y. Miess

Sharon Y. Miess, 65 of Fond du Lac, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in Fond du Lac June 30, 1946 the daughter of Paul and Margaret Jagow Schmidt. On October 1, 1963 she married David L. Miess at the Church of Peace. She was a graduate of Goodrich High School. She was employed with Behnke Insurance from where she retired. Sharon was a member of the Church of Peace, U.C.C., enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, cooking, knitting and sewing.SURVIVORS: Sharon is survived by her husband, David L. Miess, Fond du Lac, three children; Robert Miess, Portland, North Dakota, Kristine(Ronald Abler) Mozuch, Fond du Lac, and Karla (Tim) Reehl, Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Margaret, Jennifer, and Shari Mozuch, one great-grandson Alek Giese. Sharon is further survived by two brothers, David (Barb) Schmidt, Fond du Lac, Ronald (Karen) Schmidt, Arkansas, a sister-in-law, Joan Miess, Fond du Lac and many relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.



VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 4 to 6 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM, December 28, 2011 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Reverend James F.D. Martin officiating.
