Sheila M. Germait

Sheila M. Germait, 50, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, January 3, 2016. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 9, 1965, the daughter of Kenneth and Peggy (Schwartz) Grainger. She married Gerald “Jerry” Germait, Jr. at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac on May 8, 1993.



In addition to being a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheila was a dedicated employee of the Fond du Lac YMCA, working in the childcare section for the past 15 years, as she loved to work with children. Sheila also helped out around the Y with numerous other activities. Her time spent watching Ariyanna brought Sheila great joy. She would always give motherly advice to anyone around her. She was a loving mother and wife.



Sheila is survived by her husband, Jerry; two daughters, Brianna and Taylor, both of Fond du Lac; parents, Kenneth and Peggy Grainger of Stillwater, Okla.; brother, Donald (Amy) of Fond du Lac; two nieces, Kimberly (boyfriend Cory Wirkus) Grainger and Kayla (fiancé Clayton Zielieke) Grainger, both of Fond du Lac; aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and other relatives.



Visitation for Sheila will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 7:30 PM with Rev. Bill Beaton officiating. Private family burial will occur in Estabrooks Cemetery on Wednesday, January 13, 2016.



In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Sheila’s name.
