Sherry Galonski

Sherry Galonski, 62, of St. John and formerly of Fond du Lac was "Promoted to Glory" on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born May 17, 1947 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Arthur and Violette Marsh LaShay. Sherry was a fourth generation member of The Salvation Army church, the Home League, Sisters in Stitches, and ADVOCAP Group, and was president of the Grandparents Right of Wisconsin. Sherry volunteered at the Salvation Army Food Pantry for many years. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting and crocheting. SURVIVORS: her husband of 33 years, Ralph H. Galonski; her children, Eric Taylor, Green Lake, Ronald Jensen, Fond du Lac, Kristiann Cusick, Fond du Lac, Kally Rockow, Fond du Lac, Dean Rockow, Fond du Lac, Jayme Hermanns, St. Peter, Martin Jensen, Green Bay, Ralph Galonski, Chilton. She is further survived by her mother, Violette Briesemeister, Appleton; sisters, Cathy Tompkins, San Antonio, TX, Patricia Schilling, Eagle River, Tammy Briesemeister, Belpre, OH; brothers, John (Nyla) LaShay, Fond du Lac, Jack Briesemeister, OH; eighteen grandchildren; many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur W. LaShay, Sr.; one son, Jay Jensen; one brother, Arthur LaShay, Jr.Sherry was a loving and devoted wife and will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her.



A memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Salvation Army, 237 Macy Street, Fond du Lac.
