SHERYL L. WINDERSheryl L. Winder, age 50, of N8882 Lakeshore Dr, Van Dyne, died Monday, July 19, 2004 at her residence. She was born on June 3, 1954, in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Duane and Catherine McCord Grahn. On March 22, 1997, she married Glenn Winder in Oshkosh. She was baptized into the Mormon Church as a teen. She served a tour in the United States Army and Navy and was a student at the Defense Language Institute specializing in the Russian Language. She was a member of the Fond du Lac Harley Owners Group and ABATE of Wisconsin, a life member of the National Women of the Sea Services, Wisconsin Badger Unit 39, and a past member of the Disabled American Veterans. Sheryl enjoyed taking the annual trip to upstate New York for the Americade Motorcycle Rally. Sheryl was a beautiful woman and a loving wife, she loved fishing, and was a five year participant in the Madison Chapter of Fishing Has No Boundaries fishing tournament. She was very good at baking and making jams. She made an annual trip to Door County to pick cherries for jams and pies.SURVIVORS: her husband Glenn, her mother Catherine Grahn, one brother Douglas (Debbie) Murray, aunts and uncles, James (Geneva) McCord, Patricia (Arthur) Klien, Thomas (Mary) McCord, Robert Grahn, brother in law, Jim (Lisa) Winder, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Duane, one infant daughter Cynthia, one brother Michael, her maternal and paternal grandparents, one aunt, Carol Grahn.



A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 4:00 P.M at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2828 Scenic Dr., Oshkosh, WI. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, North Dakota.In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Fond du Lac Humane Society.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
