Shirley A. Stoffel

Shirley A. Stoffel, age 82, of 536 E. 1st St, Fond du Lac, was called by God to her heavenly home to be with her eternal family on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at GranCare Nursing Home. She was born on September 1, 1924 in Lomira the daughter of Mathias and Agatha (Schill) Klumpyan Sr. On May 8, 1943 she married Jerome Stoffel at St. Matthew's Church, Campbellsport. Shirley and her husband ran the family farm until moving to Fond du Lac in 1951. She then worked at Regal Brush Company and Friday Canning Factory in Rosendale. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. Shirley's enjoyment was gambling, especially scratch-offs and playing the slot machines at the casino. Shirley was a loving mother and homemaker raising seven children.SURVIVORS: her husband Jerome of Fond du Lac, six children, Gloria (Jim) Twohig of Armstrong, Larry Stoffel of Fond du Lac, Donald (Lori Jane) Stoffel of Fond du Lac, Mike (Pam) Stoffel of Fond du Lac, David (special friend Joy) Stoffel of Fond du Lac, Kay (Dick) Van Der Vaart of Manitowoc, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Matt Klumpyan Jr. of Eden, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard James Stoffel on December 4, 1965 at the age of 21, two sisters and their husbands, Rita (Al) Stoffel, Betty (Wilbur) Albright, sister in law, Helen Klumpyan.



VISITATION: Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 3:30 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with prayers being held at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. FUNERAL: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph's Church. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery on Thursday morning at 10:30 A.M.
