Shirley A. Uecker, 89, passed away at her home in Waupun, Wis. on January 7, 2017. She was born in Brandon, Wis. on July 22, 1927, a daughter of Edwin and Clara (Hare) Wagner. On July 14, 1945, she married Edward “Teenie” Uecker at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, Wis. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2007.
She was a well-loved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her number one priority in life was taking care of her family. She spent many hours playing with the grandchildren who were truly a blessing and joy in her life. Shirley also enjoyed golfing and playing cards. She worked as a ward clerk at Waupun Memorial Hospital and retired after many years.
Shirley is survived by a son, Bruce, of Waupun; nine grandsons, Todd (Lisa) Priebe of Sheboygan, Wis. and their children, Bonita and Tessa; Scott (Debra) Priebe of Hobart, Wis. and their children, Abigail and Evan; Jonathan (Barbara) Uecker of Oshkosh, Wis. and their children, Peter and Logan; Michael (Carrie) Priebe of Anchorage, Alaska, and their children, Toni and Zachary; James (Joan) Priebe of Cascade, Wis.; Ryan (Melissa Hunt) Lisko of Wylie, Texas, and their children, Megan and Libby; Brian (Carrie) Uecker of Amarillo, Texas and their son, Benjamin; Joshua (Elizabeth) Uecker of Plano, TX and their children, Ethan and Hudson; Christopher Uecker of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter in-law, Sue (Larry) Uecker of Plano; and beloved father of the Priebe sons, Bill (Alice) Priebe. In addition to her husband, Shirley was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and David; a daughter, Bonita Ann Priebe; a great-granddaughter, Estella Grace Uecker; her parents; and four sisters, Naomi, Natalie, Nova, and Margareta.
Memorial Services are to be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
