Shirley Beltz

Shirley R. Beltz, 87, of Fond du Lac, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born July 12, 1926 in West Bend, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Smith) Knoeck. She was a 1944 graduate of West Bend High School, a 1947 graduate of the St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing and a 1952 graduate of the Luther Hospital School of Anesthesia in Eau Claire. On August 28, 1954, she married Clarence Beltz at St. Marys Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Shirley worked for St. Agnes Hospital and the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, retiring in 1976. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community Parish, enjoyed cooking and baking and worked alongside her husband in the family business, Clarence's Harbor.She is survived by two sons; Edward (Lorrayne) Beltz of Taycheedah and Thomas Beltz of Fond du Lac; a granddaughter, Kathy Beltz and her husband, Michael Steffensen, of Fond du Lac; a grandson, Christopher Beltz of Taycheedah; a step-grandson, Michael Newhouse; and one great-grandson, Xavier Steffensen of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her former daughter-in-law, Karen Beltz, and her step-grandson, Mark Newhouse.



A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A private Memorial Service will follow the visitation with the Rev. Schrankler officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Shirley's name to the charity of your choice.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
