Shirley M. Hansen

Shirley M. Hansen, 79 of 435 Stow Street, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 25, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born August 2, 1927 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Clarence and Marcella Kraft Bromund. On June 22, 1946 she married Robert "Bob" G. Hansen at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2000. Shirley was a member of Holy Family Parish "“ St. Mary's Church. She worked at First Star Bank currently US Bank for 27 years retiring in 1989. Prior to banking she worked as a clerk for the Fond du Lac Store. Shirley was a member of the Elk's Auxiliary and the Fond du Lac Lunch Bunch. Shirley enjoyed taking her winter getaway to Florida for over 25 years, cooking, playing slot machines, baking her "famous" Christmas cookies for her family and especially her companionship with her little dog Skipper. She also was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed attending games for over 30 years. Shirley is now reunited and will once again be able to do everything together with her loving husband.SURVIVORS: one son, Greg Hansen, Milwaukee; one daughter, Lynn (Bill) Weinshrott, Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Lisa Weinshrott (fiancée, Michael Kimmel), Hoboken, NJ and Kevin Weinshrott (fiancée, Alicia Ahlers), New Lisbon, WI; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Lloyd Anthony; her husband, Robert; a brother, Clarence "CB" Bromund; a sister, Joyce Allard; a brother-in-law, Clayton Allard and a sister-in-law, Pat Bromund Tice.



VISITATION: will be from 4-8PM on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 9-10AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10AM Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the funeral home and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM at Holy Family Parish "“ St. Mary's Church with Rev.James Jaeger officiating. Burial will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.Memorials are appreciated to the Fond du Lac Elk's Club.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the ICU Staff at St. Agnes Hospital for their care given to their mother.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
