Shirley M. (Wiegert) Schwebke

Shirley M. (Wiegert) Schwebke, 80, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home after a 10-year battle with dementia and Alzheimer’s. She was born in Fond du Lac on July 8, 1937 to Harley and Sedella (Maier) Wiegert.



Shirley spent most of her working life in retail sales, mainly at the H.C. Prange Co. in Fond du Lac. Shirley was a life-long member of Church of Peace UCC in Fond du Lac and was a member of the Ladies Aide Society. She was a fan of her beloved Packers, watching games even through their lean years.



Survivors include her 2 daughters, Deborah (John) Myrechuck of Las Vegas, NV and Jacqueline (Joel) Spoon of Lakewood, WI; 2 grandchildren, Angela Myrechuck (Aaron Garry) of Minneapolis, MN and Jay Myrechuck of Fond du Lac; her brother, Edmund (Mary) Wiegert of Fond du Lac; her sister, Katherine (Fred) Scharping of Lakewood; 3 nephews, Joel (Jennifer) Wiegert, Scott (Amy) Schatschneider and Robert (Shannon) Scharping; and her niece, Stacie (Andrew) Whipp. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Candice Wiegert.



Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with burial in Bethel Cemetery to follow.
