Sigurd Gieschen

Sigurd Gieschen passed away unexpectedly March 23, 2004 at the age of 88 years. He was born April 3, 1915 in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Claus and Hulda (Hencke) Gieschen. Sigurd founded Sig's Heating in 1960 and with his son, Del, operated the business until its sale in 1998. He is surved by his wife, Dena, sons, Del (Elaine) and Arlin, all of Fond du Lac and daughters, Joyce (Richard) Betti of Appleton and Lorna (Dan) Heller of Fond du Lac. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a sister, Hulda Gieschen of Minneapolis, MN. Two sisters-in-Iaw, Loureha Heller and Faye Henke also survive, in addition to several nieces and nephews.He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac, where he directed the men's choir. He also sang in and directed the Fond du Lac Chapter of the Barbershoppers. He was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, a grandson, Steven Gieschen and a granddaughter, Kristen Betti.



SERVICES' Friday, March 26,2004 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul's ' Ev. Lutheran Church,North Fond du Lac. Reverend Tho Thomas Behnke will officiate. BURIAL: St. John's Cemetery, Town of Nekimi
