Stephen Masarik Stephen Masarik, 93, formerly of 285 S. Seymour St. in Fond du Lac and currently a resident of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home died Wednesday, February 09, 2005 at the home. Stephen was born December 26, 1911 in Chicago, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Trn Masarik. On December 16, 1936 he married Elizabeth Steffes at St. Patrick's Church in Fond du Lac. Stephen was a truck driver for the Damrow Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1977. He was a charter member of Sacred Heart Parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, traveling, woodworking, politics, and gardening. Survivors include his wife; Elizabeth "Betz" Masarik of Fond du Lac, eight children; Elizabeth "Betty" Hanke of Lombard, IL, Thomas Masarik of Glendale, WI, James Masarik of Fond du Lac, David (Karen) Masarik of Wisconsin Dells, Dennis (Sue) Masarik of Downers Grove, IL, Michael (Patti) Masarik of Roanoke, VA, Jerome Masarik of Fond du Lac, Joseph Masarik of Fond du Lac, 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one son-in-law; Ken Gerner of Oshkosh, one brother; Ludger Masarik of Kiel, and four sisters; Anne Doyle of Sheboygan, Mary Booth of Milwaukee, Betty Di Pasquale of River Grove, IL, and Rose (Dean) Koffler of Lewiston, Montana. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Patricia Gerner, two grandsons; Christopher and Justin Masarik, two brothers, and one sister.
Visitation for Mr. Masarik will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2005 from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Deacon Ricardo Munoz officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery in spring. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
