Stephen R. "Steve" Nett

Stephen R. Nett, 59, of 980 Mequon Avenue, Fond du Lac, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born the son of Francis and Lucille "Umy" Braun Nett on January 23, 1949 in Fond du Lac. On August 1, 1975 he married Kay Preston in Fond du Lac. Steve was currently employed with Mercury Marine for 41 years. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #270 and a past member of the Fond du Lac Optimist Club. He coached baseball for over 20 years and was on the Babe Ruth board of directors. Steve enjoyed his pets, his garden, woodworking, knowing useless trivia and especially loved spending time with his family.SURVIVORS: his wife, Kay; two sons, Mark (Tammy), Mohave Valley, AZ and Sean (Louise), Kingsland, GA; four grandchildren, Grant, Madelin, Mason and Kierstin; one great granddaughter, Evelyn. He is further survived by his mother, Lucille "Umy", St. Peter, WI; two brothers, Francis (Evelyn), Milton, WI and Charles (Karen), St. Peter, WI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.



VISITATION: will be from 4 "“7 PM on Friday, July 25, 2008 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Larry Hughes officiating.
