Steven G. Opperman

Steven G. Opperman, age 57, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, May 11, 2008. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Fond du Lac the son of Irvin and Virginia (Retzlaff) Opperman. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. On October 8, 1976 he married Deborah Streeter in Fond du Lac. Steven was a 1968 graduate of Horace Mann High School. He worked for Mercury Marine. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Eagles #270. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, taking pictures, and anything outdoors. Most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. SURVIVORS: his wife, Deborah of Fond du Lac, five children, Tanya Anderson of Oakfield, Rebecca Pluim of North Fond du Lac, Nicole (Justin) Schendel of Fond du Lac, Angela Opperman of OH, Stephen (Kelly) Opperman of Fond du Lac, his father, Irvin Opperman of Fond du Lac, thirteen grandchildren, Aaron, Matthew, Bishop, Krista, Taylor, Megan, Garrin, Shyanne, Brandon, Jenna, Riley, Brianna, and Logan, two brothers, Larry Opperman of TX, David (Terri) Opperman of Fond du Lac, sister, Chris Rockweit of North Fond du Lac, mother in law, Carol Dehnel of Fond du Lac, brother in law, John (Anne) Streeter, sister in law, Debra Reinke of Fond du Lac, and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia, father in law, Marvin Streeter, sister in law, Marianne Opperman, brother in law, Keith Rockweit, brother in law, Steven Streeter, stepfather-in-law, Marvin Dehnel.



VISITATION: Wedneseday, May 14, 2008 from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Jennifer C.M. Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park.
