STEVEN R.VERMEERSteven R. Vermeer, age 49, of 36 Westminster Circle, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 24, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on October 19, 1956 in Waupun the son of Richard and Betty (Zitlow) Vermeer. On August 14, 2006 he married Karen "KP" Parker in Ellison Bay in Door County. Steve was a supervisor in Heat Treat at Mercury Marine for over thirty years. He was an avid golfer who loved spending time with his family and friends. Steve had a great love for life. He will always be remembered for the loving husband and father he was. Everyone's life he touched was enriched by knowing him. He will be missed more than words will ever say.SURVIVORS: his wife, Karen "KP" of Fond du Lac, his children, Jamie (special friend Kristy Leichtfuss) Vermeer of Fond du Lac, Courtney Diener of Tempe, AZ, Dallas Diener of Fond du Lac, Kirby Diener (special friend Nate Frank) of Crested Butte, CO, his mother, Betty Vermeer of Waupun, sister, Barb (Dennis) Beier of Princeton, mother in law, Gerri Parker, nephew, Russell Beier of Oshkosh, niece, Stephanie (Paul) Borst of Fond du Lac, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, and his father in law, Donald R. Parker.



VISITATION: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 from 4-9 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 9:30 A.M. at Ascension Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeff Blain and the Reverend Patrick Heppe officiating. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park. In lieu flowers, a memorial has been established. A very special thank you to the Paramedics, Police Officer, all the Nursing Staff in the Emergency Room at St. Agnes Hospital as well as Sr. Jean Braun.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
