Susan J. BinnerSusan J. Binner, 67, of N7424 Sunset Circle Drive, Town of Friendship, Fond du Lac, died peacefully on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital with her husband at her side. Mrs. Binner suffered a massive stroke following elective successful brain surgery. She was born September 20, 1938, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Bernard and Marion Schuster Miller. On December 29, 1962, she married William J. Binner at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Mrs. Binner was a member of Church of The Presentation in North Fond du Lac from 1971 to the present and was a member of the Christian Mothers. Born in Oshkosh and raised in Southern California, she returned to Wisconsin in 1958 where she attended the Mercy School of Nursing in Oshkosh, graduating in 1961 as a Registered Nurse. She later was employed by Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh and St. Agnes Hospital, practicing nursing for over 15 years. Susan was a volunteer for the Pregnancy Help Line, the Bloodmobile, Loaves and Fishes, and was an active member of the MS Support Group of Fond du Lac. She was a member of the MS Society of Wisconsin. She also taught CCD with Sister Ruth Ann to Special Education students. She enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, going to her cottage, and attending musical concerts. She and her husband founded Binner Pools in 1980 and she assisted in its operation with her husband and family until 1992.She is survived by her husband, Bill, two sons, Daniel (Lori) Binner and James (Shelly) Binner, both of Fond du Lac, two daughters, Diane (Scott) Ball of Fond du Lac, and Mary Ann (Carey) Adams of Somers, CT, and six grandchildren, Jacob, Kayla, Bailey, and Tyler Binner, Simeon Ball, and Brooke Draves. She is further survived by two sisters, Carol Miller of Fountain Valley, CA, and Marilyn (John) Pinner of Coto de Caza, CA. Her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation for Mrs. Susan J. Binner will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2005, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Binner will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, 10 am at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, corner of County Trunk Y and Forest Avenue. The Rev. John Simon will officiate and burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Oshkosh. The family requests that in lieu of flowers,memorials may be directed to the St. Agnes Foundation (Palliative Care), 430 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
