Susan R. Shepherd

Susan R. Shepherd, age 72, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at her residence. She was born on April 6, 1951 in Portage, WI and adopted by Raymond and Marian (Severson) Soderberg. Susan grew up in Clinton, WI, and graduated from Clinton High School in 1969. She married James F. Shepherd on September 17, 1983 in Beloit Wis.

Susan worked at Wisconsin Power & Light in Beloit for 10 years before moving to Fond du Lac in 1989 when Jim, also working for WP&L, transferred to Fond du Lac. In Fond du Lac, Susan worked at Schreiner’s Restaurant for 17 years. She was an incredible cook and baker.

She also enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening and was a gifted watercolor artist. She had a loving heart, an infectious smile, a delightful laugh, a welcoming personality and virtually all who met her loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; three sons, Chal Dundee, Paul (Laura) Dundee and Kyle (Jessica) Shepherd; four grandchildren, Isla, Fiona, Sawyer and Holden Shepherd; siblings, Eric (Vickie) Silberschmidt and Susan Siblerschmidt; sisters-in-law, Tina Soderberg and Dail Shepherd; nieces, a nephew, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Soderberg and a brother-in -law, John Shepherd.

A celebration of Susan’s life will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
