Sylvester J. Stenz

Sylvester J. Stenz, age 87, of 50 E. 1st St, Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Hospice Home of Hope. He was born on March 25, 1923 in Johnsburg, the son of Clemens and Rose (Karls) Stenz. On June 19, 1954 he married Ione Huben in Howard. She preceded him in death on June 19, 1979. On July 26, 1985 he married Petronilla Bertram Freund at St. Peter's Church, St. Peter. Sylvester spent most of his working years for Agriland Coop in Malone. He volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital for eighteen years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg. SURVIVORS: his wife Pat of Fond du Lac, three children, John Stenz of Fond du Lac, Susan Stenz Reich and husband Tom Reich of Fond du Lac, and Kay Ehret and husband John of Grays Lake, IL, three grandchildren, Wade and Karl Reich of Fond du Lac, and Emily Rose Ehret of Grays Lake, IL, sisters, Rosebelle Fryda of Fond du Lac, Anita (Dave) Jones of Fond du Lac, Mary Jane (Bill) Murray of West Bend, Virginia Bertram of Johnsburg, brothers, Ervin (Alice) Stenz Pipe, Melvin (Norma) Stenz of Plymouth, Leander (Mary Grace) Stenz of Taycheedah, sister in law, Joanne Stenz of Pipe, in-laws, Marie Huben, Donald (Rose) Huben, Joyce Powers, all of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elfreida Steffes, brother, Norman, brothers in law, Elmer Steffes, Elmer Bertram, George Fryda, James Huben, Edward Crane, Patrick Powers, sister in law, Lucille Crane.



VISITATION: Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 9:30-11:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, M9288 County Road W, Johnsburg. FUNERAL: 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg with the Reverend Joseph Coerber officiating.
