Sylvin A. Brandt

Sylvin A. Brandt, age 94, of 379 Country Lane, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at his residence. He was born on January 22, 1913 in Kiel, WI the son of John and Anna (Schreiner) Brandt. On June 4, 1935 he married Marie Faucher in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on January 9, 2001. He was a veteran of World War II. Sylvin was a professional semi-truck driver working for Olsen Transportation, now known as CW. He also was a semi-truck driving instructor. He was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed woodworking and doing crossword puzzles.SURVIVORS: his three children, Suzanne (Conrad) Oberst of Louisville, KY, Joe (Joanne) Brandt of Escondido, CA, Rita (Bob) Abler of Pewaukee, WI, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one sister in law, Loraine Streblow of Fond du Lac, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie, one brother, Ervin, one sister, Rocille, two brothers in law, Leo and Everiste, and three sisters in law, Dorothy, Viola, and Leonore.



VISITATION: Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 4:30-6:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Reverend Vic Capriolo officiating. Cremation has taken place with inurnment to be held at Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
