Terence N. Barber

Terence "Terry" N. Barber, age 63 formerly of 110 20th Street, Fond du Lac, and a resident of Harbor Haven Nursing Home died Friday, July 9,2004 at the nursing home. He was born on December 20, 1940 in Manchester, England the son of Norman and Winefred Barber. Terence received a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manchester University, and received the Silver Medal in 1972 for being the top student in the Higher National Certification in Engineering. While working for Mather & Platt, Manchester, England he invented a textile machine that was viewed by the Queen of England. While working for Henry Simons in 1974 he helped design and build the first Cornflakes manufacturing plant in Poland, and in 1976-77 he redesigned and rebuilt the machinery at Ripon Good Cookies, Ripon, WI . After immigrating with his family in 1978 to the United States he worked as a project manager for the Damrow Company in Fond du Lac. He was a member of the Church of England, and a former member of the Fond du Lac Yacht Club. Terry enjoyed boating and going to antique car shows.



VISITATION: Tuesday, July 13, 2004 from 3:30 until 6:30 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at 6:30 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
